You found me...
Hello, welcome to the page where I talk about... me
*blush*
...In all
seriousness, though, I'm kind of bad at talking about myself because I
don't think I'm that interesting, but I'll give you my stat spreads
anyway.
Wolf-Rayet Law is my pseudonym, which I
adopted at some point in the early- or mid-2010s. I've gone by many
names during my time on the Internet, too many to remember and list...
These days, most people tend to call me
Ute or
Wolf, though. I don't really care what you call me as
long as it's not mean lol.
Here on my humble website I have (or will have) a mix of almost
anything I'm interested in, which encompasses quite a lot...
I'm a curious person who enjoys learning new things,
though I have a bad habit of keeping everything to myself, so this
website is partially an attempt at learning to share, I guess...
I've been using the Internet daily since around 2003, and
before then with some degree of regularity (being among the first
generation of people to truly be 'raised online' in a social sense), and
it's been one of my favorite things in the world since then... I am a
relic of the bygone old web, and that era is still fresh in my memory.
I am not a fan of "new web" as it's come to be in the late 2010s and
2020s, both in structure and culture, so I do consider myself a part
of some sort of "old web revival" movement if only passively.
I am anti-censorship, pro-DLDR, anti-mob mentality, etc.
Most importantly of all, though, I am PRO-FUJOSHI and a
lover of 2000's + early 2010's Internet culture at-large.
I'm a private person. I dislike this zeitgeist of the
social media age wherein disclosing all of your personal details and
opinions is necessary simply to function and speak in public like a
normal person, so I just ask that you not assume things about me
simply because I'm quiet. It is just common courtesy.
General Information
I was born in Detroit, Michigan, and I have lived in the
metro area my whole life, generally in the rural and rural-suburban
parts. Growing up surrounded by beautiful expanses of wetlands, lakes,
and forests as well as my frequent visits to Detroit city proper has
been a very strong influence on me in all regards. I come from a
beautiful place with many interesting people...
I have "AuDHD". I've been professionally diagnosed with
ADHD twice; once as a teenager and again in my early 20s. I've been
informally diagnosed as autistic (level one) by several psychs I've
worked with and inferred to be by many of my friends and family, but I
do not desire a formal dx. These things play a massive role in the way
that I interact with the world and
it's just impossible to interact with me without them being an
influence
in some way. My brain is pretty fucked up and has made me
do some weird shit, but
everyone describes me as a calm and polite young man
regardless, so don't worry about it too much.
I am a pretty big "mediaphile" by technicality, though I
don't actively think of myself this way. I have a
keen interest in every sort of art form but especially sequential
art (comics), animation, and etc. I developed an interest in animanga specifically when I
was a kid (thank Adult Swim for airing InuYasha while I was still
awake, cuz that's what really hooked me on anime lol) and was
that sort of post-Y2K otaku preteen/teen many people might imagine. My
interest in Japanese media has continued into adulthood,
so that's what you'll see a lot of around my site, though I do branch
out.
An interest in studying the Japanese language emerged
from my childhood love of animanga as well, and I took several years
of classes as a teenager as I was fortunate enough to go to a district
that offered it as a language study, though I have not been good with
keeping up with my self-study due to the busy nature of adult life and
my ADHD...
I can read and understand Japanese okay, but I have zero confidence
in speaking it myself currently, so I don't mention this much anymore. Let's hope I can find
time/resources to study more soon...
In general,
I like a nice environment where people are comfortable and having
fun. My goal online is to chill out and go about my business in peace. I
don't come on the Internet to argue, abuse anyone, etc and I like if
others treat me the same. I also would prefer if you don't associate
me with any various "communities" against my will, for me
I prefer my connections with other individuals
to anything otherwise.
I also have a pet ball python named Rune! She'll be
around on the site more at some point. She hatched from her egg on May
31st 2020, and I've had her since she was about four months old.
Like I said above, I'm awful at writing about me sections, so don't be surprised if I add some more here over time as I remember lol
Misc Whatever Info
idk go my awesome werewolf
I really don't care what you call me, but I'm going to ask that you
avoid things like asking me my pronouns, or honestly any sort of
gender-related talk with me. It makes me very uncomfortable. I've been
visibly GNC my whole life and I've dealt with dysphoria since at least
2008; the way that I deal with it is personal to me. I'm neither
"trans" nor "cis," but I've encountered a lot of people who assume I
am the latter and try to treat me badly due to me not having this info
plastered all over my pages, so I'd like to at least mention this
somewhere. Please just don't label me or make assumptions about me
just because the way I express/etc is atypical to what you're used to,
and I don't conform to it.
I'm a therian and I'm comfortable with it being something tied to my
beliefs, mental issues, etc. I have no qualms with being a human or
humans in general. My fursona is NOT what I look like! I just have a
fursona for fun. I'm not actually a rat; my actual form is a lot less
cool... (we daydream of being rats)
I LIKE (MEDIA)
Pokemon.
I first played Pokemon Blue in 1998, but I was too young to really "get it" even though I loved the anime at the time. My first proper game experience was Pokemon Silver in 2000, around the time it released (five days after my fifth birthday btw... ^^). I LOVE Pokemon, but I'm also massively critical of it for several reasons, namely in the franchise/corporate realm... My favorite games are BW+B2W2 and I'm a HUGE gen5 fan. I'm also very into the TCG (collecting) even though the PTCG hobby is truly wretched in the west.
Monster Hunter.
My first game was MH4U, and my first/current main weapon is hunting horn. I also like to play with lance. My favorite monster is probably Tigrex, cuz he's cute...
Yu-Gi-Oh!
I like the anime and collecting cards... I've seen each mainline/spinoff YGO anime up to (most of) VRAINS. I'm very attached to ARC-V, even though the last 2/3rds of the anime are complete ass. I watched it as it aired live from episode one in 2014, so (if you've seen it) you can imagine the in-real-time downward spiral I experienced week-by-week as it got worse. I huffed copium the entire time lmao
Inazuma Eleven.
I like the anime and games a lot. Completely ridiculous series stuffed to the brim with camp and charm, and many characters I felt a genuine attachment to. It's a perfect watch if you just want to have a good time and you love insane shounen sports bullshit like I do. Inago Galaxy (Supernova) was the first game I ever played to completion in Japanese, and I specifically bought a JPN 3DS just to play it lol...
Vinny Vinesauce.
My favorite streamer. I've been watching him regularly since 2013-2014 and I just think he's neat.
Okami.
Okami is my favorite video game of all time. I first played it when I was 13, and I bought a PS2 (my first non-Nintendo system) just to play it after I started seeing it around on DeviantArt. Back then it was really hard to get your hands on rarer games like this, so it was a massive months-long journey just to find a copy... I have also played Okamiden, for those wondering, but this was back in high school so I don't remember if I finished it.
Gravitation.
The first proper BL I ever watched/read. I have a big soft spot for it, and you can see its DNA all over my own BL works lmao... It's probably the most foundational piece of media for me in terms of my BL tastes, for better or worse. The anime and OVA are probably my favorite things ever to rewatch, they're like crack to me... as of the mid-2020s, I've also accidentally started collecting physical Gravitation stuff, so more on that elsewhere perhaps.
BLEACH.
I was a teenager during the peak years of the "big three" (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece), and my pick at the time was Bleach, lacking much interest in the other two until I tried them later to varying results. Anyway, I LOVE BLEACH! I have had a ton of investment in it for a very long time and I'm not joking, this is a warning...
Splatoon.
First game was Splatoon 2. I main E-Liter 4K but I also like to play slayer roles sometimes (usually Splattershot)... I mostly like playing Salmon Run and I'm always a very high-ranking EVP because I'm mentally ill. Sadly I probably won't get to play any new entries in the future because I can't afford new Nintendo consoles, nor do I really want to give them my money anyway... But I will always love splat :broken_heart:
Twisted Wonderland.
I just like TWST a lot. :| I'm a big Scarabiahead... I have not opened the app in years though bc I've never even been very into gacha games anyway. My love for Yana Toboso and the characters themselves is enough to where I did actually play it for a while, though. Impressive. Now I just keep up by reading/watching the story online.
Flight Rising.
I've been playing consistently since 2013! I had a strong fixation on J. Peffer/neondragon's "DragonArt" books in elementary school, they were a MASSIVE influence on me as a child artist, so naturally I'm very into FR. My ID is ute #31499 if you'd like to add me :^)
Sonic the Hedgehog.
Just the games, though I haven't played a new Sonic game in a very long time. It deserves a special mention though because I was indeed an autistic Sonic kid for years and I still love Sonic a lot...
Media interests (extended)
90's PC games (Darkseed, Harvester), ADELTA, Adventure Time, Bayonetta, Charisma House, Code Geass, Crypt Worlds, D.Gray Man, Dai Dark, Danganronpa (V3 >>> 2 > 1), Deltarune, Devilman (NOT Crybaby), Devil May Cry, Digimon, Dorohedoro, Dungeon Meshi (manga), Dwarf Fortress, Fire Emblem (only 3H), Final Fantasy (fave is FF9), Fullmetal Alchemist, Gachiakuta, Ghibli (fave is Princess Mononoke), Ginga series (the dog animanga), Golden Kamuy, Hades (game), Gundam series, Hetalia, Hunter x Hunter, Hylics, Hypnospace Outlaw, Jabroni Mike, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (anime), Kuroshitsuji, Mother (game series), One Piece, Red Dead Redemption, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Rimworld, RTVS (mostly watch Scorpy and Wayne), Silent Hill, Soulsborne (I've only played Elden Ring, but I've seen playthroughs of them all), Super FUCKING Mario, The Jungle Books, Tiger & Bunny, Touhou Project, Undertale, Vargskelethor Joel, Warriors (cat books), What We Do in the Shadows, Witch Hat Atelier, Wolf's Rain, Xenoblade Chronicles, Yokai Watch... I LIKE (ETC)
Snakes.
My favorite animals, I'm very particularly passionate about them... The obsession began when I watched the Disney Jungle Book movie as a child and became infatuated with Kaa btw, lol...
Typology.
I have a casual interest in this field of pseudoscience, though I generally find the online community surrounding it noxious so I prefer to just keep it to myself (for this reason + it's just kind of embarrassing to talk about...). I'm interested in every system (namely Enneagram, but I also have read on Socionics, Jung's PTs, and Psychosophy) with the exception of MBTI, though I have read most of Gifts Differing so I know about it to some degree anyway. I mostly just like to type characters for fun and I don't have much interest in typing real people, but I'll tell someone what I think if they ask and I know them well enough.
Etc interests (extended)
Character & story writing, regular & speculative zoology, phylogeny & taxonomy, natural history (archaeology, paleontology, geology), geography, anthropology, Japanese language, history (US-specific + global), the occult (ie. cryptozoology, weird theories, the paranormal, astrology, unexplained mysteries, demonology, etc.), DRAGONS, Internet culture, art history & art as it exists, weaponry (swords, guns, knives, etc.), duality as a concept (i fixate on it a lot fsr)

it's supposed to say "2014" but i think it's more fitting if we were married in the 3rd century AD during the great flood of Edessa in Upper Mesopotamia.
